When I started, I had no idea how to produce a song, but after a few weeks of research, I felt confident enough to begin. Despite a few failed songwriting attempts and a finished song that didn’t meet my expectations, I started from scratch and eventually created “My Other Me.” Originally about a girl I liked as the producing processed dragged on and I lost feelings for said girl I had to rework the lyrics to make it much more generalized and eventually shifted them away from her and more into a theoretical partner that’s similar to the listener.

My Other Me has its problems, if you pay close attention you can almost tell apart the three different voice recordings that make up the vocals, during one segment of the song you can hear a click from my keyboard, but overall I am very happy with it, especially for a first release.
UPDATE AUG 30TH 2024: The song has been added to multiple big playlists now and is more successful than I would’ve imagined it to be. I’m excited to see how it keeps performing!
